Modern family

Jest przed 16, wobec niskiego ciśnienia+nawału pracy, czuję, że za chwilę padnę na twarz. Jednak przed tym updakiem, muszę jeszcze porozmawiać z nativem (rozmowa określająca poziom j. ang).

Po wstępach, przywitaniach, i innych whereareyoufromach ni stąd ni z owąd pada pytanie:

Native: What do you think of modern family?
Ja: ? What do you mean by that?
Native [śmiech, też wygląda na zmęczonego]: well... to be honest... I don't know... it is one of my standard questions, just from the list I got... but I have not asked it anyone yet - you're the first
Ja: I see...:-) Ok, so maybe I will tell you what do I associate the "modern family" with?
Native: ok:-)
Ja: Well... so for me modern family can be defined as a mother and father having only one child...
[po chwili namysłu], or....... actually, on the other hand..... this can also be two men or two women bringing up children :>
Native: Hmm.... ok, so what do you think of such a model of family?
Ja: Actually, I would like to have this one.... [wobec ciszy, która zapadła i zszkowanej miny native'a, który do tej pory cały czas się uśmiechał, a teraz duże oczy i prawie otwarte usta, reflektuję się co mu przyszło na myśl i dodaję]........but come on, you must knnnnow... I am thinking of these two persons having one child (not this second option)?!...
